Al Ghanim Bilingual School (GBS) was established in 1997 as a private, coeducational institution catering for both Kuwaiti and international students. GBS promotes a well-rounded education through a bilingual (Arabic-English) curriculum. GBS is comprised of three divisions. Kindergarten (Pre K – KG 2), Elementary (Grades 1-5), and Middle School (Grades 6-9). The school currently caters for over 1000 students from Nursery to Grade Nine. Our students are intelligent, creative, and active learners who graduate literate in both their native Arabic and English languages. GBS is currently undergoing accreditation with The Council of International Schools.
The GBS educational philosophy is based on a deep-rooted belief in the individual’s right to balanced comprehensive spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. Education is fundamental to the overall positive development of the child’s personality. At GBS we believe that our main role is to enable the students to achieve the personal, intellectual, psychological, physical, and social growth needed to function in today’s world and to participate effectively in national, as well as global development while preserving their sense of belonging to a distinct cultural identity.
We help the children develop their abilities and cultivate their creative and critical aptitudes. We are committed to treating all students in a fair and just manner. Our day to day processes promote the values of cooperation and solidarity. Our procedures and strategies make every effort to provide an enjoyable, healthy learning environment to all the children in the school.
